This position is responsible for following procedures to ensure that all Key Risk Information Technology products and services meet organization standards and business requirements. This position will be responsible for executing and documenting the testing of software/applications to ensure proper operation and freedom from defects for technology projects with a diverse scope. The scope of work includes providing estimates, defining test approaches, creating appropriate test cases and execution with high quality.


  • Defines and maintains best practice Quality principles at every stage in the Agile process to ensure release candidates are free from defects
  • Analyze user stories and technical requirements for validity, feasibility and technical soundness
  • Decompose user stories to extract positive and negative test scenarios
  • Define and Execute detailed test cases on Java and SQL based applications
  • Ability to function independently to:
  • design and create test plans, test cases, complex test data and scripts (including automated scripts)
  • Defect Management and Reporting
  • Coordinate the User Acceptance testing process with cross functional business colleagues to ensure delivery by the end of a Sprint
  • Function as a member of an Agile team


  • Understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
  • Familiarity with one or more scripting/programming languages and/or tools such as: C++, C, MySQL, Perl, JAVA, Python, is a big plus
  • Expert proficiency in database testing in Microsoft SQL Server environments including designing and manipulating test data, validating stored procedures, jobs, triggers and replication.
  • Motivated to drill deep into software to identify and troubleshoot defects
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to organize tasks and interact with development team
  • Demonstrated ability to operate and innovate in a small team with a fast-paced environment, balancing both strategic and tactical needs
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Four-year degree in computer related field or equivalent experience
  • Five + years of relevant QA technical experience
  • Three + years of experience with various test management software packages
  • Team Foundation Server (TFS) Knowledge (Nice to Have)
  • Agile Methodology (Desired)
